Welcome to the photographic archive and blog of photographer Jeff Henig, this site contains my online galley of photographic images that are on display and available for direct purchase as fine art or stock images in the form of digital files.
Having lived in Asia for over 12 years I began shooting seriously 15 years ago as part of my love of travel. I have a large body of work, covering most major festivals and events in Japan, Thailand and throughout Asia. There is something magical about capturing a single moment and printing it for display. My objective is to capture the emotion and appeal of a moment in the photographic medium. I center on energy, excitement and the passion of the moment. My colors are intense and vivid, but care is taken to capture people’s expressions. My interest is in travel photography, but I am exploring other mediums such as portrait, landscape, photojournalism, urban and culture.
Traveling with camera in hand I have witnessed some pretty amazing stuff, a Buddhist Lent ceremony of young monks in the most northern region of Thailand, and the Rath Yatra Festival in Pune India, to see the largest Hindu gathering on the planet. I hope to share my experiences and images with you. I was seduced by photography 15 years ago and am truly astonished where it has taken me.
